It’s amazing today what you can do with a computer. Now that AMD has a 6-core processor on the market, computers are running faster and more efficiently than ever. Computers fit many people’s interests. Tweaking, gaming, word processing, video editing, the internet, banking, taxes, you name it and the computer can do it.
Every year a new product comes out that makes the last great product borderline obsolete. Next year there might be 8-core processors, or graphics cards that are more powerful than any other video device, making some people feel like they are behind and need to get up-to-date.
People are dropping hundreds of thousands of dollars every year just to upgrade their computers to the next level. Which, I believe, is a natural tendency of the American people. There is so much pressure to stay on top of the game and look good that people are willing to spend their next paycheck to get there.
I just recently built a new computer for a friend and it cost under $300. The beauty of that is, the computer is very nice, the cost was minimal and most importantly, it does what the user needs it to. There are no extra frills on this computer, besides the sweet case we built it in. But it does everything that my friend needs it to and more.
Computers are beautiful machines. If you know how to use a computer, you are worth more to a company due to the rise of computer use in businesses in the last 10 years. They can also be the bane of your existence. When it craps out, and your hard drive dies, all of your long spent hours and important data files are now gone. Capoot. That’s why there are businesses that specialize in repairing and recovering those computers and files. Not to toot my own horn, but Home Computer Tune Ups LLC has helped hundreds of people get their computers back up and running, and recovered data files that were thought to be lost forever.
Companies make money making computers, people make money using computers and businesses like the one I work for make money fixing computers. So, I would say that computers have done their part to stimulate economy. And it takes every one doing their job to sustain that. Here’s to computers, may they continue to grow and get better and may people continue to break them and give my company business.
